Ghana’s Olympic team will be without foreign quartet – Frank Acheampong, Ebenezer Assifuah, Ebenezer Ofori and Joachim Adukor ahead of the return leg of the 2015 All Africa Games qualifier on Saturday, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.
Their respective clubs have refused to release them for the crucial encounter at the Tamale stadium, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
Acheampong picked up a slight foot injury for Anderlecht over the weekend while the rest have all been declined the chance to represent their country.
GHANAsoccernet.com can also reveal that Genoa youngster Said Ahmed Said will also not be available for the crunch tie.
The Ghana FA want to sort his documentation after he featured for the Italian youth team at the international level.
This means Peter Oduro Kwarterng (Petrojet), Raymond Gyasi (Roda JC), Rahman Chibsah (Sassuolo) and Isaac Honny (Air Force Central) are the only foreign-based players expected to play for the West Africans.
Their teams are not manadated to release them since the All Africa Games is not a FIFA sanctioned tournament.
