Ethiopia the only country on Earth that have never been colonized is waking up to greatness
Rough Guides, the world best travel guide publisher and holiday authority has announced the list of top ten countries to visit in 2014. Topping the list at number one is Ethiopia.
Rough Guides described Ethiopia as the following; “This culturally rich East African nation has always been an enticing destination, and though it remains poor, independent travel around the country is becoming easier thanks to a boom in small hotels and restaurants. Take your pick of spell-binding attractions: untouched national parks, the ancient cities of Axum, Harar and Lalibela, the world’s first coffee plantations, the largest cave in Africa at Sof Omar and the continent’s largest concentration of UNESCO sites.”
The number two country to visit in 2014 is another sister African country Madagascar which is known for amazing fauna and flora.
The third on the Rough Guides top ten list is Brazil for it’s natural wonders and old architecture.
The rest of the countries that made the top ten list of the travel guide publishers are Turkey fourth, Georgia fifth followed by Rwanda; Japan; Bulgaria; Macedonia; and the Philippines respectively.
Ethiopia’s tourism potential is unmatched by any African country. The more the country becomes peaceful the more it will attract more tourists. The Ethiopian tourism industry is at it’s infancy, but very soon it will compete or surpass coffee as the number one income source for Ethiopia.
