ALGIERS, April 29 (Bernama) -- Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika appointed his former premier, Abdelmalek Sellal as prime minister, Xinhua news agency reported quoting local media.
In mid-march, Bouteflika named Energy Minister Youcef Yousfi as interim premier on the eve of the electoral campaign, APS news agency said.
Yousfi replaced Sellal, who was assigned to run the president's campaign.
Bouteflika took his oath as president in his fourth term in office on Monday.
The president won with more than 81 percent of the vote in the April 17 election.
