By Kaleb MogesThe 4th African Hotel Investment Forum has been opened Tuesday in Addis Ababa with the presence of Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and world giant international hotel groups.
The forum, which regularly happens in Nairobi, Kenya, has changed its venue this year to the host of the African Union and many international organizations, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Opening the forum, Ethiopia's Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said such events have the power to attract those involved in the sector and play their share to the continent's growth.
The premier closed a session with giant hotel groups and briefed them about the favorable hotel investment opportunities Ethiopia can offer.
In the meantime, one of the huge firms, Wyndham Hotel Group, has signed a contractual agreement with ADM Business plc to manage the four star luxury hotel which will be opened in Addis Ababa in 2015.
As witnessed on the event many companies have shown interest to engage in Ethiopia's massive hotel investment.
The forum has been organized by Bench Events and stays for two days with over 550 individuals participating in it.
It discusses about African tourism and hotel investment potential.
In the last three years, the event has brought together over 1,200 key actors sharing common interests to drive tourism and hotel investment in Africa.
