The Finland Branch of the New Patriotic Party congratulates Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, on his election as the Flag bearer of the party at the just ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegates Congress. This is a well-deserved victory and we specially commend Nana Addo for showing humility in victory. Nana’s overwhelming victory is a clear manifestation of NPP and grassroots’ unequivocal confidence in him, an endorsement of his performance in the past and a show of appreciation and love by the rank and file of the party. We have no doubt that Nana Akufo Addo will be sworn in as the President of the Republic of Ghana, come January 2017 to redirect the course of the currently sinking Ghana, on a more equitable and stable path that would yield prosperity and development for all.
We also deem it sufficiently proper to commend Hon. Allan John K. Kyeremateng and Hon. Francis Addai Nimoh for showing the qualities of good sportsmen in conceding defeat. Indeed your collective activities have contributed to energizing the party at the grassroots level. The party is now more poised for a resounding electoral victory in 2016. NPP – Finland further wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the able Chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko and his Executives for the professional and efficient manner they organized the congress, a feat which has become the envy of even our bitterest political opponents. The contest for the flag bearer position has indeed re-enforced the democratic credentials of our party. The last but not the least, we applaud all the delegates for carrying out a very difficult assignment successfully.
The contest within the NPP for electing a Flag bearer is over and the time is ripe for cooperation and commitment from all and sundry to prosecute the 2016 National Election. We urge all the factions that emerged before the congress to come together and campaign to win more supporters for the party. Ghana is waiting for NPP to once again better their lots and will not forgive us if we fail to win elections 2016 due to internal bickering. We believe in our collectivity lies our strength and it is in the light of this that we call on all members of our great party to close our ranks and unite solidly behind Nana Akufo Addo to ensure a resounding victory for the party in the 2016 elections to save Ghana from the doldrums and continuous jeopardy.
The NPP-Finland is ready to campaign alongside the visionary Nana Akufo Addo to win victory for the party in 2016. Ghana will work again. Still the battle is the Lord’s.
Long Live Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo
