By Mathews NdanyiElgeyo Marakwet — Five people are admitted in hospital after eating meat from a sick cow on Tuesday.
More than 100 others have been treated after consuming the meat at villages near the border between Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet.
"The meat was not inspected before residents consumed it," Kapteren chief Vincent Kimutai told the Star.
The victims bought the meat from a home where a resident bought a cow, which he slaughtered because it looked weak.
