CMA CGM Debuts Logistics Platform in Cameroon; Creates Inland Transport Arm

Located between Douala and the port, the operation occupies two hectares. It provides 1,200 square meters of storage for full and empty containers. CMA CGM vessels call Douala twice a week. The carrier also handles land transportation in Cameroon, Chad and the Central African Republic, through a new entity dedicated to inland transportation development known as CMA CGM Inland Services (CCIS). Last year, the CMA CGM Group opened a platform in Dakar, Senegal, and has developed 14 terrestrial hubs to date, creating transport corridors between landlocked and coastal countries. The group has 1,300 employees and 72 offices in sub-Saharan Africa.
