ACCRA, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Ghana have moved 12 places up to rank 25th in the latest edition of the FIFA world rankings released on Thursday.
The Black Stars, runners-up at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Equatorial Guinea, also increased their points from 714 to 864 to break into the top 30.
Ghana are now third on the continental table, behind champions Cote d'Ivoire, who are second, after Algeria.
Cote d'Ivoire climbed up eight places to rank among the top 20.
The top 10 remains unchanged with Germany in the lead followed by Argentina and Colombia.
African sides have made progress in the latest rankings with 12 teams in the top 50.
