Ghana Home Loans has secured a €5-m facility from Ghana International Bank.
The facility is to enable Ghana Home Loans meet the increasing demand for mortgages by overseas customers.
Commenting at the signing ceremony in Accra, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Home Loans, Mr Dominic Adu said: “We are pleased to close this facility with GHIB as it gives Ghana Home Loans a stronger platform to implement our strategy for expanded coverage for foreign currency denominated lending to cater for the needs of customers living abroad”.
The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana International Bank, Mr Joe Mensah noted that: “GHIB has established itself as a preferred lender to Ghanaian institutions and corporates,” adding: “The successful closure of transactions in the country demonstrates the bank’s commitment to its home market, Ghana and its desire to support various sectors of the Ghanaian economy.”
Other members present at the signing ceremony were the Chief Operating officer of GHL, Mr. Kojo Addo-Kufuor and Executive Director, Mortgage Operations of GHL, Mr. Ellis Atekpe.
Ghana International Bank was also represented by Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Andrew Kairu and Country Representative, Mrs. Barbara Tetteh.
