By KnaA 42 year old man was arraigned in court on Friday for torching two houses belonging to his wife.
Kitsao Randu Jilo appeared before Kilifi Principal Magistrate, Adah Obura, and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He was charged that on December 28, at around 6pm at Mbuyuni, Tezo location, Bahari division in Kilifi County, he willingly and unlawfully torched two houses belonging to his wife, Kadzo Kitsao Randu.
The court was told that the accused allegedly broke into his wife's house and stole Sh6000.
The wife went to the police and reported the incident. When the accused heard that his wife had reported the incident, he allegedly went back and set her two houses ablaze before fleeing the area.
Kitsao denied the charges and was remanded at the GK prison in Bofa until March 4 when the case will be mentioned.
