South Sudan has joined an initiative that allows mobile users to make calls between the country and Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda at local rates, StarAfrica writes, citing news agency APA. During the launch of the regional network last week, South Sudan’s Minister of Telecommunication and Postal Services Rebecca Joshua Okwacci said that the ‘one network’ scheme will considerably reduce the cost of making telephone calls and encourage an increase in trade and investment within East Africa.
