advocated peaceful co-existence, national integration and true federalism to ensure a stable polity.
They made the call at the Third National Integration Roundtable with the theme National Integration: Panacea to Peaceful Coexistence, organised by the Integration Summit Group of Nigeria, in Abuja.
Participants included delegates from all states of the federation, civil society groups and representatives of political parties, ethnic nationalities, religious bodies, foreign diplomats, academia and government officials.
The two governors underlined the need to chart a positive course for the youths to shun ethnic, religious and political differences to build a strong Nigeria. The convener of the Integration Summit Group Nigeria, Dr. Chris Ekiyor, in his opening address, recalled that the idea of convening the roundtable was borne out of his experience as the President of the Ijaw Youth Council.
