One of SAFA's longest serving members Eric Mtshatsha has died.
Mtshatsha who was the President of SAFA's Umgungundlovu Region in KwaZulu-Natal died in the early hours of Saturday, 25 April 2015 in Pietermaritzburg.
"It has not been a good start to the year for football in general. While we are still mourning the passing away of legend John Shoes Moshoeu, we have now lost some of the most experienced brains of the game with this sad news of Mtshatsha," said SAFA President, Dr Danny Jordaan in announcing the passing on of Mtshatsha.
Mtshatsha was recently appointed honorary member of SAFA at the recent SAFA Congress in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga; together with Henry Mosese.
He also sat on the Board of Governors of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Memorial and funeral arrangements will be announced soon.
