Nine candidates have been nominated to contest for four vacant councilor positions of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) to represent professional bodies.
Two have been nominated from Uganda Law Society, 3 from Uganda Society of Architects, 2 from Uganda Institution of Professionals and 2 from Uganda Medical Association.
The nominations were held at Hotel Africana in Kampala. Elections will be held later in the afternoon.
Electoral Commission, Chairperson Dr. Badru Kiggundu oversaw the exercise that lasted for about three hours.
