For a very long time, South African governments have used our differences to divide and conquer us. Two successive racist regimes have succeeded with that, but I have just realized something.
That is that there really are only two kinds of South Africans.
There are those of all races who say 'let's put the past behind us, and work together to build a future.'
They're the ones who realize that not one of us can change the past, and that most of us had no part in it at all.
They're the ones who look beyond colour. They see the humanity, and find common ground based on values and dreams of a better future for all our children.
Then there's the other kind.
The type who think that the world owes them something. That they can take revenge based on race. That they own the world, and that they decide which South Africans can be or have what.
Sadly, for far too long, the second type have been our government, and their mindless, brain dead, race obsessed accolytes.
They were under the Nats, and they are now.
The saddest thing of all is that as long as they maintain their strangle hold, none of the South Africans who just want to get on with things will have the faintest chance.
Don't be hate filled nitwits hanging onto the past.
Be the type of people who look to the future, and who work together to achieve it.
If you don't, no one will have any future in SA at all.
