His Excellency the president of the Republic of The Gambia has reassigned Dr. Aboubacar Senghore to the portfolio of the minister for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, a media release from the presidency announced.

The general public is hereby informed that His Excellency the president of the Republic of The Gambia, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh Nasirul Deen Babili Mansa, acting under the Provisions of Section 71(1) & 71(3) of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia has reassigned Dr. Aboubacar Senghore as minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology with effect from 13th August 2014.
