The criminal court acquitted former president Hosni Mubarak, his two sons Alaa and Gamal, runaway businessman Hussein Salem and former interior minister Habib el-Adly and six of his aides of all charges against them.
Mubarak was found not guilty in the case involving the sale of natural gas to Israel at below market prices. He and his two sons were also cleared of charges regarding receiving bribes (five villas) from businessman Hussein Salem over the same case.
Mubarak, Adly and the six aides were also vindicated in the case against them about killing peaceful protesters during the 2011 January revolution.
