By Clement EkongYola — Christian faithful in Nigeria have been admonished not to relent in their prayers against the gruesome activities of Boko Haram insurgents aimed at Islamising the country as they are being checkmated, with the increasing number of churches aimed at serving God.
President Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Rev. Dachollon Datiri, gave the advice in his speech while formally upgrading the Local Church Council (COCIN), Kofare, Jimeta, Adamawa State, on Friday to Regional Church Council (RCC).
Datiri said, "Brethren, we must be united in this work that God has given us; you should not be scared of Boko Haram because you have been planted by God."
He stressed that they should pray for harvesters to yield great harvests, by doing the work God has sent them to do.
Members of the new council include rev. Jonathan Bawa Damina as
Chairman, Rev. Simon Bulus, Vice Chairman and Rev. Andrew Simon Shingumi as secretary.
Others are Rev. Bulus Mallo Dakup, assistant secretary, Dashik David Senyen, treasurer, Beniel Makong Dili and Mariam James, as members.
