The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MOGCSP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UT Life Insurance Company Limited to renovate and re-develop children's parks in the country.
The exercise, which is expected to cost GH¢ 150,000.00 will begin this year with the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra.
At the signing ceremony in Accra over the weekend, the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur, expressed gratitude to the management of UT Life Insurance Limited for their support and was optimistic that the MoU would give a new breath to children's parks in the country.
According to her, government Is committed to seeing children grow in safe environments, adding that support from private organisations would help achieve it.
On his part, the General Manager, Business Development of UT Life Insurance, Sherrif Abudu, said the company would bring the Efua Sutherland Park to international standards.
He disclosed that security measures would be put in place to ensure that people did the right things.
