The army has today sealed off Gen David Sejusa's home in Naguru and put him under confinement according to government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo.
"Renegade and bellicose Gen David Sejusa has been put under confinement by the UPDF, and he is safer that way #UPDF disciplined force.
The days of naked impunity by military officers in Uganda is long gone, if Gen Sejusa had forgotten #UPDF disciplined force", Ofwono said on his twitter account.
Nobody is allowed in or out of the former spy's home at the moment. Sejusa, who returned to the country recently after 18 months, exiled himself after making politically charged statements, including alleging a plot to assassinate senior government officials opposed to a future presidency of First Son Brig Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
He also alleges corruption and favouritism in army promotions. He is also seeking to retire from the army.
