Somalia's Police Chief Major General Mohamed Hassan has died today following three days of severe illness in hospital, senior Somali police officer told Radio Dalsan.
"Major General Mohamed Hassan has died today afternoon around 4:30 pm local time in Ummah Hospital, a privately-owned in Mogadishu." General Abdullahi Hassan Barise of Somalia Police Force Commanding Centre told Radio Dalsan.
Major General Hassan has been receiving a treatment in the hospital following a severe heart attack that made the flow of the blood circulation of his body very problematic.
Late Major General Mohamed Hassan was in his 50s and has served of various police positions during the former Somalia military government.
