Black Stars coach Avram Grant has been assigned to act as the technical director of all the junior National teams.
The Israeli tactician is expected to perk-up the technical responsibilities of the various national teams apart from his duties as the Black Stars coach.
Grant is expected to hand technical genes to coaches of the Black Meteors team, Black Satellites, Starlets, Queens, Princesses and Maidens.
Speaking with Accra-based Joy fm, vice President of the FA, Fred Crentsil confirmed the new role assigned to the former Chelsea boss.
“He (Avram Grant) is more or less a technical director for all the national teams (in Ghana),” he said.
“He will assist them (other national team coaches) in the technical direction of the teams once he gets to their training sessions.”
“He will be there (in Senegal) and if there are any lapses, he will correct these lapses – he is not taking over the team; the team is still being handled by Sellas Tetteh, but if there is anything he thinks should be done one way or the other, he will advise the coaches,”
The 60-year-old is expected to join the Black Satellites team at the African Youth Championship in Senegal having been given a 10-day leave by the Ghana Football Association after aiding the Black Stars to clinch silver at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
